    Reports, forms and letters

Please provide a minimum of three weeks' notice for the preparation of reports, dictation, typing and correction of requested letters, and completion of forms. Clinic letters are usually sent to the referring doctor by Argus (secure email) or fax and are typically available within one week of the clinic visit.

    Prescriptions

Apart from prescriptions written for inpatients or during outpatient clinic visits, the Department of Neurology encourages all patients to obtain repeat medication prescriptions from their usual general practitioner or paediatrician wherever possible. This includes authority medications and increased quantities of non-authority medications. Exceptions are medications that can only be prescribed by a consultant neurologist or are only available through the RCH Pharmacy.
